Our company began when…

Born out of a mutual belief of the benefits senior community living provides, and a genuine desire to help create harmonious communities, SLM was established to facilitate practical dispute resolution solutions for both residents and operators.

Utilising our combined 50 years of experience we offer practical mediation solutions in keeping with values and principles of the Retirement Living Code of Conduct. Conflict and/or disputes can take up huge amounts of time, cause stress and anxiety to all involved leading to fractured relationships and disharmony within the community.

What if there was an easier way?

If you are a party involved in conflict with another it can be hard, almost impossible to remain neutral and unbiased which is where an independent third party can help.

Using the Facilitative Mediation model our role is to encourage discussion between the parties and assist them to identify common interests and explore possible creative options leading to a potential resolution.  Our objective is not to determine who is right and who is wrong, rather to help the parties determine possible solutions that each can live with, move forward and resume positive relationships.
